BHC — a steadying presence behind your website, from start to what’s next.
Squarespace website design and support for small businesses — without the tech stress
I help small business owners simplify their websites with clear structure, calm design, and straightforward Squarespace support — so your site feels easier to manage and easier to trust.
A quiet truth about business websites
Most business owners know their website could use some attention.
Not because they’ve done anything wrong — but because running a business always comes first.
Between looking after clients, managing the day-to-day, and keeping everything moving, websites naturally stay the same while the business evolves. And when you take another look, it can be hard to see how to bring it in line with where your business is now.
This is where I can help — bringing structure, clarity, and a calm process that allows your website to become a dependable, hard-working part of your business.
Who I love working with
I partner with small businesses in different stages and industries — but the need for clarity, support, and calm is usually the same.
-
Your website is often the first place potential clients get a sense of you. I help consultants, therapists, coaches, and service-led businesses create websites that communicate expertise clearly, build trust naturally, and make it easy for the right people to take the next step — without clunky systems or unnecessary complexity.
-
When people are looking for what you offer, your website should make it easy for them to find you, understand what you do, and get in touch. I work with studios and local service providers to create websites that support enquiries and bookings, while still reflecting the care, personality, and community behind the business.
-
For product-based businesses, your website needs to do more than display what you sell. I design calm, considered online stores that make it easy for customers to browse, understand your products, and buy with confidence — without the stress of complicated systems behind the scenes.
-
If you’re sharing knowledge through courses, workshops, or memberships, your website should make it easy for people to access your content and feel confident investing in it. I design clear, well-structured websites that support your content now, and can grow alongside your offering over time — without relying on complicated systems.
-
For one-off events, weddings, or time-bound projects, your website needs to communicate the essentials clearly and make it easy for people to engage. I create thoughtful, well-structured websites that bring everything together in one place — without unnecessary complexity.
If your business doesn’t fit neatly into a category, that’s okay — what matters is having the right support behind your website.
When your website finally feels right, everything gets easier
It looks like a website you’re genuinely proud to share again — one that reflects where your business is now, not where it was a few years ago.
Your messaging sounds like you.
Clear, natural, and easy to understand — so the right people instantly “get” what you do, without you having to over-explain.
The structure makes sense.
Visitors are guided naturally, and taking the next step feels easy rather than confusing.
You feel confident in your online presence again.
No more second-guessing your words, your pages, or whether something feels off.
And most importantly, your website starts supporting your business — not adding to your mental load.
It feels calm, considered, and taken care of.
Working together should feel supportive, clear, and genuinely collaborative. Here’s what that experience has been like for clients.
“Deborah at Bright Horizon Creative was an absolute dream. From the very first conversation, she understood my vision for Amaris Lux Photography and transformed it into a brand and website that feel truly me. Her creativity, attention to detail, and ability to blend luxury with personality exceeded every expectation.
The new website at amarisluxphotography.co.uk is stunning, intuitive, and deeply reflective of my style. Deborah guided me through the entire process with warmth, clarity, and genuine passion for her craft. I couldn’t be happier with the result and highly recommend her to anyone looking to elevate their brand.”
KIND WORDS
HOW IT WORKS —
A Calm, Guided Process
No chaos. No confusing instructions. No endless timelines.
Just a clear, supportive way to get your website feeling right — without rushing or overcomplicating things.
1. Clarity first
We start by stepping back.
Together, we look at where your business is now, what’s feeling off, and what you actually need your website to support — not what you think you should be doing.
There’s no pressure and no tech talk.
Just space to get clear, so we’re moving forward with confidence rather than guesswork.
2. Shape the message
Once the direction feels right, we bring everything together.
Your message, pages, and structure are refined so your website sounds like you and speaks clearly to the right people — without second-guessing every word or wondering if you’ve said the “right” thing.
Things start to feel lighter here. More joined up. More intentional.
3. Design, build & support
From there, I design and build a clean, considered website that’s easy to use, easy to navigate, and built to grow with you.
You’re supported through launch and beyond — so you’re never left wondering what’s next or feeling like you’ve been dropped at the finish line.
A steady process.
Clear decisions.
A website that finally feels like it fits.

Hi, I’m Debbie
Founder & Web Designer at Bright Horizon Creative.
I’m a self-taught designer who fell in love with web design — not just how things look, but how they work, how they’re understood, and how they support real people running real businesses.
What started as curiosity grew into a full-time creative practice focused on building thoughtful, intentional websites that feel calm, clear, and genuinely supportive.
I work with service-based businesses, creatives, and small business owners who want a website that reflects who they are now — without the overwhelm.
No fuss. No pressure. Just a website that works beautifully and grows with your business.
Here’s to your next chapter,
Debbie x
Featured Project — Amaris Lux Photography
A recent collaboration with wedding photographer Paul at Amaris Lux Photography.
Paul’s work is elegant, emotive, and deeply intentional — and his website needed to reflect that without overcomplicating things. Together, we created a calm, considered digital home that lets his photography lead, while clearly communicating his style, approach, and the experience couples can expect.
The focus was on clarity and flow: helping visitors understand who Paul is, what he offers, and whether he’s the right fit — without distraction or unnecessary noise.
It’s a great example of how a thoughtful website can support a creative business, feel true to the person behind it, and make sharing your work feel effortless again.
Frequently Asked Questions
Have another question? Let’s talk it through.
-
Primarily, yes. Most websites are designed and built in Squarespace because it’s flexible, reliable, and easy for clients to manage long-term. In some cases, I also work with Webflow if a project calls for it — we’ll talk through what makes sense for your business.
-
Most projects take around 3–5 weeks, depending on the scope and how ready your content is. We move at a steady pace, with space to pause, review, and refine — not rush to the finish line.
-
Not at all. You’ll need to provide things like images, logos, or brand assets if you have them, but part of the process is helping you shape the content and structure as we go. You don’t need a finished website mapped out in advance.
-
That’s completely fine. We can improve and refine what’s already there, or rebuild if it no longer reflects your business or supports your goals. The starting point doesn’t need to be perfect.
-
Yes. I don’t disappear once your site goes live. You’ll have support through launch and the option for ongoing help afterward — whether that’s small updates, guidance, or having someone steady to turn to when you need it.
-
No. It’s a relaxed, no-pressure conversation to understand where you’re at, what’s feeling off, and whether working together makes sense. Even if we don’t move forward, you’ll leave with clarity.
A Personal Note
Your business matters to me — because I know how much of you goes into it.

You won’t be rushed or pushed into decisions. Instead, we’ll create something thoughtful and clear — a website that supports your day-to-day and feels easier to live with as your business evolves.
If you’re ready for a website that feels calmer, more confident, and more aligned with where you are, I’d love to hear where you’re at.

Debbie Bright
